Samalona is a small island in the Strait of Makassar, precisely in the southwest of the west coast of South Sulawesi. Administratively, the island belonged to the city of Makassar, South Sulawesi. More precisely the position is located in the west district Wajo, Makassar, about 2 km away and can be seen clearly from the township.
